Bio
Who I am:

I am a 22 year old conservative Christian male working at Olive Tree Bible Software in Spokane, WA. I majored in Computer Science at Eastern Washington University (graduated 2009). I live with my 2.5 years younger brother in Spokane on the south hill and commute to work in north Spokane in my old Grand Am (hoping for a Yaris next spring). My hobbies include watching anime (one piece, fma, flcl, etc.) reading sci-fi/fantasy books, and listening to music. I also enjoy computer programming (lucky considering my work) and long walks (beach optional, and we're talking 5 miles minimum). I like to debate theology and to argue in general, though I don't really have specific skill in the area.

My family:

My father was a drug and alcohol rehab counselor for five years before turning to ministry. After working at our church in Spokane for a while he became the pastor of a church in Airway Heights where he preached for 4 years. (www.therisenson.com) My mother works for Group Health Cooperative as a financial analyst. She enjoys spanish and has encouraged my siblings and me to pursue foreign language studies to great effect. My brother is just starting at Eastern, aiming for a Business major. He'll end up being my boss, I just know it. My sister is working on finishing HS at Lewis and Clark. I think the current plan is elementary PE teacher.

My recent history:

After HS graduation, I stayed with my parents my freshman year, and quit working to enjoy the transition into college life. It was a golden year of way to much time spent on the internet and putting about 5x more effort into school than is normally prescribed by my physicians. Near the end of this time, I met my good friend Max Yardley who I subsequently shared a summer internship and then a house with. That summer after freshman year, I moved in with Max and his two previous roommates (who are not fit to mention he-- just kidding: Dave and Brian) in a four bedroom house in Four Lakes. The next two years passes pretty smoothly with slight changes in company, and I got to know a bunch of people in my degree. I participated in and (with Max, a stellar programmer as well) won several local programming competitions (quarterly held for Eastern, Gonzaga, Whitworth and U.I., and annually held for regional and world). I worked at the school, grading first for CPLA (the class that drains your soul) and later low level computer science courses, settling in to grading for the C and Unix class the last 4-5 quarters.

Now I am close to finishing an internship leading to a potential job with Olive Tree Bible Software as a BlackBerry software developer. Hopefully November ends with me still employed...
